From diagnosis of my kidney to disease, through transplant and subsequent clinics, Dr Mason has always kept me fully informed of how my condition was developing. He has a very frank and direct manner which I appreciate, but others not used to his manner may find him a little abrupt. However, when I ask any questions, he always is prepared to spend time explaining, and his manner changes as if he is really pleased to be helping you and sharing his knowledge.
This part applies to most doctors and not just Dr Mason. When in clinic, the Drs spend a lot of time on the computer accessing and inputing data whilst asking questions of me. It's easy to feel that the doctor is rather detatched due to lack of eye contact.
I have been kidney transplant patient for over 25 years,in the early years, you would turn up to clinic and see the doctor /nurse who was running the clinic some excellent some not so good.Since being under the care of Dr Mason i medically have had some ups and downs but can not speak any higher than him and trust him 100%,I consider that i have seen many Dr`s in my time and i would recommend him for you.
First rate clinical expertise, hard-working, goes to great lengths to provide the best outcome for the patient.
Dr Mason was extremely friendly and competent during our first meeting. Having met several nephrologists in three different hospitals over the last six years, he was very approachable and caring.
I have been a patient of Dr Philip Mason for over thirteen years. I suffer from Wegener's Granulomatosis with kidney involvement. Throughout that time Dr Mason's care has been exemplary, diligent, prompt, conscientious and careful, especially bearing in mind the rarity of this condition. I would also commend the work of his nursing and other staff who invariably speak well of him. They too deserve credit for my care over these past thirteen years.
